Kraft Love Birds

Again, here are a few cards that I recently constructed and are for sale at my sister's Etsy (see bottom of post for purchase information. These cards are great for weddings, anniversaries, and many other occassions where you just want to show someone how much you care. Since they can be completely customized to fit your needs, they are very versatile!

The wings are sewn directly to the birds and the birds are then adhered directly to the card base. The inside of the card is free of holes and thread of any kind.

Each card is constructed completely by hand from the cutting and scoring of the base to the design and creation of the birds.

Specifications:
Material: Sturdy kraft cardstock, patterned paper, vellum, quilting thread, archival-safe permanent black pen.
Cards are sold individually and come with a 24 lb. white envelope handcrafted by me. I use remoistenable envelope glue that works exactly like the glue on envelopes that you can buy in stores.
Each card has been left blank inside and out, but can be customized with my sister's beautiful calligraphy to suit your needs. See Etsy posting for more details.

Metallic Dresses

Here are few more dress cards that I created for my sister's Etsy shop (see bottom of post for purchasing information). Each was created using beautiful, textured gold paper for the bodice, metallic fabric for the dress and 1/4" black satin ribbon for the wasteband. The entire dress form is mounted on 1/8" foam dimensional. These cards can be sent through USPS without additional postage.

These would make great girls night out invitations, bridal party thank you's, or whatever you want.

Circles Thank You

It is another gorgeous day today - it's got me in the spring cleaning mode! Letting go of things that I've held onto for years to make more open space is so liberating! Here are a few more cards that I created for my sister's Etsy shop. Please see bottom of post for purchasing information.

These cards were created with kraft cardstock, stencils, and molding paste. The sentiment is my sister's handwriting printed on white cardstock. The entire sentiment and colored paper strip are mounted on 1/8" foam dimensional. These cards can be sent through standard USPS without additional postage. Also note that in the last 6 photos, gold glitter has been added to the molding paste for a little more sparkle.

Paper Hearts

We've been having some gorgeous spring weather here in Washington, DC; I just love this time of year with all the flowers and things turing green. Everything is coming back to life! Seeing all the activity around me makes me feel a little perkier around this time of year too! I just wanted to post a few more cards that I created for my sister's Etsy shop. Please see bottom of post for purchasing information.

These simple and versatile cards are created with a collage of paper scraps in my collection. The hearts are covered with a clear glossy layer and then given dimension by layer them on 1/8" foam dimensional. Cards will ship through standard USPS without the need for additional postage. The outside of the card has a beautiful texture, while the inside is smooth so that a handwritten message may be added.

Love Birds

These "love bird" cards were created for my sister's Etsy shop (see bottom of post). With a hot cup of tea, a comfortable couch, and good movie on TV, the construction of these birds zoomed right along. Some people hate this kind of tedious work, but this is exactly the kind of work that makes me love making cards. Hope that you enjoy!
