I Love You Grid

Create an interesting focal point by weaving together scraps of white and patterned paper. Add some vellum hearts (or whatever symbols your heart desires) to give the card a theme.

Fabric Scrap Card

Here I have created a card with some scrap fabric (this one comes from some T-shirt seams), but the great part of this design is that you can use almost anything as a backdrop! Patterned paper, wallpaper, watercolor, fabric, ribbon, tissue paper, the sky is the limit as long as it less than 1/8" thick. One of my other favorite things to use for this is images from storebought cards that I receive - especially if there are some nice colorful abstract images!

Materials: white cardstock, kraft cardstock, fabric scraps, white gel pen, foam dimensional.

Silly Love Card

Sometimes, just get a silly idea in your head and it just doesn't leave. I made a card similar to this years ago and it was so cute that I just had to make another one. I like to think of these little guys as microbes - fun, loving microbes. This would make a truly unique gift for a special couple!

Materials: White cardstock, patterned paper, 4mm wiggley eyes, red cardstock

Stiched Arrows and Heart

Here is a similar take on a recent card that you may have seen on this blog. For one, the arrows are smaller, and two the sentiment has been replaced with a heart. The arrows were adhered with liquid glue and then machine-stitched into place.

Materials: White cardstock, dictionary paper, stitching with white quilting thread, red cardstock

Love with Heart

Another great idea for simple cards it making the focal point the sentiment, but exchanging a letter with some kind of image. Think of all the possibilities! The letter "o" certainly lends itself to being easily swapped out with anything round, but with a little bit of creativity, I'll bet you could replace lots of other letters too!

Heart and Triangles Card

Hello and welcome! I have more projects to share using dictionary paper! If you look back at my previous post, you know that I created some triangles in the process of creating the arrows. Well, you can take all those scraps and you make something unique!

By marking lightly with pencil, you can make sure your designs is straight, and again make sure the text is going the right way! The heart is cut from solid red cardstock paper and popped up on foam dimensional.

This card can be used on so many occasions! Weddings, anniversaries, or just to show someone that you love them!

Paper Hearts on White

Hello and welcome! Here are few more cards that were created for my sister's Etsy shop (see bottom of post for purchasing information).

These simple and versatile cards are created with a collage of paper scraps in my collection. The hearts are covered with a clear glossy layer and then given dimension by layer them on 1/8" foam dimensional. Cards will ship through standard USPS without the need for additional postage. The outside of the card has a beautiful texture, while the inside is smooth so that a handwritten message may be added.

Each card is constructed completely by hand from the cutting and scoring of the base to the design and creation of the hearts.

Specifications:
Material: 111 lb. white wood-grain embossed cardstock, various patterned, solid, and specialty paper, foam dimensional, Glossy Accents
Cards are sold individually and come with a coordinating patterned envelope handcrafted by me. I use remoistenable envelope glue that works exactly like the glue on envelopes that you can buy in stores.
Each card has been left blank inside and out, but can be customized with my sister's beautiful calligraphy to suit your needs. See Etsy posting for more details.
Size: Standard A2 card and envelope: Card measures 4 1/4" 5 1/2", envolope measures 4 3/8" x 5 3/4"

Because each card is made entirely by hand, there will be small variations even in cards of the same design. Cards are packaged and sealed in a cellophane bag and will ship from Memphis, TN. They are available for purchase here.
